Broomfield Hospital
Project Overview
Working for the Healthcare Trust via a principle framework contractor CTL were enlisted to undertake the upgrade and refurbishment of the entire Hospital CWM. This project has spanned over 2 years given the complexity of the site, CTL have worked alongside the Trust to ensure minimum disruption to the day to day running of such a complex site.
Scope of Works
Work included:
- Testing and evaluation of the existing pipework and infrastructure
- Identifying specific areas of pipework that were sub-standard or inoperative
- Excavation and identification of these areas
- Replacement of valves, Hydrants and pipework
- Supply all materials and equipment to replace existing dated infrastructure, upgrade with the latest specification valves and pipework
- Commissioning and testing
- Reinstatement of various hard and soft surfaces to client requirements
- Update and create CAD drawings of the entire Hospital CWM system
Outcome
The Hospital now has full knowledge of every aspect of their infrastructure, all dated pipework has been removed and replaced, The Trust are now aware of exactly which areas are controlled by which valves in the event of an emergency or a required shutdown to any specific building or area whilst the supply to the rest of the site remains uninterrupted.
